WHY DO ANGLERS KEEP BUYING BASS PRO MADE IN CHINA PRODUCT?  “Inshore Saltwater Rods”

We started off this morning with a couple of customers who wanted new inshore saltwater rods. As most of us know that depending on where you fish inshore salt the rod of choice can be Spinning because of wind, and a lot of popping cork fishing and lighter lines and baits. So the spinning rod comes into play a lot. Do not want to offend any of the Louisiana anglers who like their casting rods either.
Well to make a long story short , it hit a level of frustration with us in trying to figure out why when you are spending a lot of money to pursue the passion for Trout, reds, calico, Tarpon, permit, flounder, stripers and any other inshore species, why would anyone settle for a half ass (excuse my French) fishing rod. So we took a close look at the inshore products available on our site in rods. We all came to the same conclusion manufacturers would rather offer half ass and save some money and short the anglers on what the right rod is rather that does it right. We know this is only one opinion right, but if you really look at it there was one rod company that has some spinning rods and gets it. Maybe it is because they are in the neighborhood of a great redfish or channel bass as they sometime call it in the Carolina s. We are referring to CASHION RODS.
Cashion Rods are not cheap but at 199.00 for a spinning rod configured for the duty it has and made in the USA and made by some people who get inshore fishing, it is worth a consideration. It all starts in inshore salt with Action and that can be fast, moderate fast, or moderate depending on what you like to fish with, switch baits like mirror-lure, soft plastics, top water, popping cork or even live bait. Length is a big deal to how in the world can all the manufactures not make a 7’6” or longer rod so that leaders and corks can work with it, and if you think about it if you wade you need a longer rod and casting farther in saltwater inshore is pretty important. The guides on the rod have to be set up right and they better be able to handle the braid we all like to use and the abuse the saltwater gives them, not some metal that last 2 years and the epoxy is cheap and the guides start popping off after a year or so.
Look to replace guides and tips on a rod made cheap is 25 bucks and replacing a decent rod every couple of years, really? Why not get a solid built inshore rod that is going to last and has the right people designing it and making it.
Anyway, if you think about it Cashion makes one hell of a rod and so does Cajun Custom Rods and both are right at 200.00 and they try to do it right, we love the redfish spinning rods by Cashion that cover the entire application for inshore light tackle fishing. So we will shut up now, but the next time you see a cheap ass rod made in china at bass pro that says inshore rod for 129.00 think about it before you get sucked in. They are called BASS PRO SHOPS for a reason not INSHORE FISHING SHOP.
Sorry we went off like that, but when you set the hook and it feels good say it loud Wahoo!
